Thanks for that.

It was just something I recall someone said in a blog I read somewhere, "Seriously though, huffing is very dangerous and can kill you on the first try. Find safer hobbies…like full-contact kickboxing."

I can't quite recall where I read that :-)

All the best.

"As you say, it can kill on the first try. I’m not so sure that you video conveys the seriousness of the practice though as your stepdaughter looks as if she’s having fun. It may even tempt a young person to have a go."

1. She wasn't huffing at all.
2. She thought her giggle fit was increased by being around sharpies. Those just happened to be non-toxic, and cannot cause huffing effects.
3. It's a video that doesn't take itself seriously, where it was fun to make a video of my stepdaughter acting goofy (not high).

Try to not take yourself too seriously, either. You'll have more fun in life that way. Take a deep breath, and relax a bit. Sounds like you need it.

The "you're corrupting the children" approach is ludicrous when you take a hard look at what's REALLY out there. You want to ban NASCAR because it encourages young drivers to drive in circles REALLY REALLY fast?

‘Huffing’ has been around since solvents became available in sufficient quantities for inhalation experiments to be done. It dates as far back as Paracelsus (1493 - 1541) who discovered the analgesic properties of diethylether. There are no laws governing the consumption of non-addictive volatile substances in most western countries to my knowledge, though recently there have been some restrictions on the availability of laughing gas and other anaesthetic substances.
