Huffing – Slightly-Mad Social Science Video

View On: Revver YouTube Metacafe Funny Or Die!

This is a “Special Message” From Slightly-Mad Science regarding “huffing.”
From Medicinenet.com:
Inhalant abuse (commonly called “huffing”) is the intentional inhalation of chemical vapors to attain a mental “high” or euphoric effect. A wide variety of substances, including many common household products, are abused by inhalers.”

(Seriously though, huffing is very dangerous and can kill you on the first try. Find safer hobbies…like full-contact kickboxing.)

Basically, I recorded my stepdaughter acting hyper and silly, and decided to make a video about it.

MRSA Suxx0rz

For those of you that don’t know what MRSA is (a particularly virulent form of antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus infection), go here: Mayo Clinic on MRSA.

I’m not going to go into details, but my life was pretty much on hold as a couple of close family members came down with MRSA – one requiring hospitalization through most of last week. It was kinda close for a while, but they’re both recovering nicely now and doing much better. Modern medicine gets teh win.

Unfortunately, I think it’s going to be a while before I stop having paranoid freak-outs if I even suspect my 6-month old is getting a small pimple or blemish.
